  IN ALL LIKELINESS:
Coming In?
Ronaldinho: Not too likely should Manchester United and/or Real Madrid push on with their interest as well. But should they not then there's a chance we could land the talented Brazillian.

David Tarka: He's a 20-year-old defender from Australia and has been tipped for big things. His coach at Perth has apparently let slip accidently that the Toon are interested in signing him, along with a few other English clubs so a move may be on the cards.

James Beattie: Many think he may be the new Alan Shearer. His background as well as style of play is very similar to Alan Shearer's and he's often been linked with a move to Newcastle in the past 12 months but a move looks unlikely at this stage.

Darren Bent: He's been constantly linked with Newcastle, he is rumoured to have almost been brought in as a double swoop when we signed his former team mate Darren Ambrose from Ipswich a few months ago but at this point Ipswich don't want to sell him and our strength up front may see us not bother this summer.

Isaac Okoronkwo: The Nigerian international defender was on trial last December and with him having gone off contract this summer it was rumoured we would look to bring him in but Sir Bobby Robson isn't likely to follow up his interest from last December.

Lee Bowyer: SIGNED! Bowyer has agreed personal terms with Newcastle United and should complete the move when he has a medical in the coming weeks, after he fully recovers from a niggling injury.

Michael Carrick: Although a Geordie, and a player we've tried to sign in the past, it is unlikely we'll be signing Carrick. He's now available to buy with West Ham's relegation from the Premier League last season, but with the recent addition of Lee Bowyer it's hard to see Sir Bobby bringing him in as well.

Brett Emerton: The view changes almost daily with the Australian international. One day he looks on the way, the next he looks to be going elsewhere, the next he looks like going nowhere! Facts are we're interested in him, followed him for a while and could put in an offer should Feyenoord drop their asking price but while Solano is here and with Bowyer's recent signing it looks a little unlikely anything will ever happen.

Michael Bridges: Unlikely we'll see a deal happen this summer, but next summer it's rumoured his contract expires and we may pick up the injury plagued Geordie striker on a free in hope he may get over his injury nightmares and become the striker he looked he would be a few years ago.

Wayne Bridge: Unlikely as Southampton's asking price is a bit too high, unless Southampton would take a part exchange deal with Cort going the other way which is also unlikely they would want the injury plagued striker.

Stephen Carr: Rumours suggest we've agreed a fee for Carr but nothing is confirmed by either club yet. We offered them Cort in part exchange, they said no but would take Ameobi in part exchange. There's no way we would let Ameobi go so chances are high we would have made them a cash bid instead so a deal could be done shortly.

Morten Gamst Pedersen: Norweigen midfielder with great potential, tipped as Norway's answer to David Beckham we've had scouts watch him recently and could make a bid this summer but his team is apparently asking a big price for him, a price tag we may refuse to pay for a young player with only potential.

Going Out?
Nikos Dabizas: The Greek international is on the way out, where is the only question surely. He wants to stay in England, but not for a club outside of the Premier League but is willing to go to Spain, Holland etc... if offered a good deal.

Nolberto Solano: Personally hope we're not selling if the rumoured transfer fee of 3m pounds is accurate as he is surely worth more than that! However if Sir Bobby is to agree a transfer fee with Feyenoord for Brett Emerton then Solano will surely end up heading out the door.

Hugo Viana: Not a chance, not this summer anyway. Juventus are rumoured to be interested, even if only for a loan deal for the season but Sir Bobby doesn't want to let the midfielder go and rightfully so. If however in the next 12 to 18 months Hugo doesn't get a more regular place in the team he may want out as he's a player who should be starting more games with his talent.

Stephen Caldwell: The Scotsman has gone off contract and will very likely be leaving. We've offered him a new contract but it's not the type of deal he's interested in it seems and interest in him seems to be hotting up in Britain and Europe so he should be gone within the month.

Craig Bellamy: Not a chance, not any time soon anyway. His off field problems have lead to the odd rumour he's on the way out but he's a strong part of the team, the fans love him, Sir Bobby loves him and he's trying to cut out the nonsence off the pitch so is very unlikely to be on the way out unless we're offered crazy money.

Carl Cort: A question of when, not if. He's not in the plans for the future, his injury problems have been the reason for this, he's been bitterly unlucky with injuries and they may keep us from selling him. Which would mean somebody would maybe pick him up when his contract expires. Hopefully we'll sell him soon to get back some of what we paid for him.

Laurent Robert: Hard to say, is apart of the plans of Sir Bobby for the team but if he can be used as part exchange for Ronaldinho then Sir Bobby would definitely be letting the Frenchman go.

Shola Ameobi: Not likely at all. We offered Tottenham cash and Cort for Stephen Carr according to the papers, and Tottenham's reply is reportedly forget Cort, we'll take Shola though. But there's surely no chance Sir Bobby would consider selling Shola who's future looks bright with Newcastle.
